AvantiCare’s creation was inspired by the early career experience of our Managing Director, Lidia Conci, working within the long-term reablement and rehabilitation philosophy of the former Julia Farr Centre.

Lidia commenced her career as a Speech Pathologist in the late 1990’s and developed a speciality in the management of swallowing disorders in adults and the elderly. After gaining experience across multiple settings in public health including acute care, rehabilitation and community services, Lidia then moved to senior roles very quickly, entering the private sector shortly after.

Lidia established her private company delivering mobile allied health services to the aged care community and this evolved into AvantiCare.

Ambition to innovation

In recent years, Lidia has become a thought leader and innovator in the sector building a movement for positive change, through speaking engagements, writing opinion articles and sitting on industry panels. She currently sits on a number of advisory boards and committees, where she is driving a shift towards wellbeing approaches and models of integrated care that facilitate ageing with purpose. Lidia was recognised this year as a disruptor in the sector when she was awarded a Telstra Business Women’s Awards Winner.
